Crazy live excursions have rapidly turned out to be Dead Pretties’ calling card. Looking at the group of onlookers, biting on his mic and reeling around the stage, frontman Jacob Slater is unique by himself.
A current show at recently opened North London setting Thousand Island saw the trio end the night by tearing disco balls from the roof, while a Sebright Arms set before the end of last year saw Slater all out snogging a bloke in the front lines, guitar as yet whipping around his lower legs. As a general rule, however, they’ll be found in the Brixton Windmill, the pulsating heart of London’s crackpot music scene. Unashamedly dirty and delightfully unhinged, make a big appearance single “Social Experiment” is a carport shake mobilizing cry requesting the death of congruity.
